Smooth Gel - Rice Flour - Thickener
Smooth Gel Pregelatinised Rice Flour is an excellent thickener for non-dairy yoghurts, soups, sauces, gravies and much more.
Replaces fats to get a creamy smooth texture. Dissolves in hot or cold liquids.
Non-Dairy Coconut Yoghurt
- Use 10 to 20 grams in a litre batch of coconut yoghurt in place of other thickeners like pectin.
- More can be added after fermentation, just whisk in vigorously.

Smooth GelBy: Janet Smith on 6 August 2019This product is probably ok if you are making coconut yoghurt or other non dairy yoghurt however I have found that it is not really needed for full fat soy yoghurt. It is rather high in carbs but if you are not following a low carb diet, it is a good product for thickener. I usually only make full fat soy yoghurt. I haven't yet tried it to thicken anything else at this time.
