Gift Giving with a Cold Pack

How to gift a Cheese Kit with a "cold pack"

This idea works for any of our products or kits that have a temperature-sensitive component of course.

Every year we get asked if it is OK to put the complete Cheese Kits, including the culture and rennet pack under the tree in the weeks before Christmas. The rennet and culture packs need to be stored in the freezer so basically, the answer is always no. We suggest wrapping the cheese kit box and the cold pack the same and placing the culture and rennet pack/s in a plastic bag and popping them in the fridge or freezer according to the label on the cold pack.

Gifting a kit with a cold pack

We first suggested this a few years ago and then after Christmas, we had an email saying one family had had ...

... The Best Christmas Day Ever.

A lovely lady told us that she had placed her husband's gift under the tree and the cold pack into the freezer as we suggested. Hubby spotted the cold pack and started asking what it could be. He then told everybody in the family about this strange two-part gift, asking them if they had any ideas about what it was. His anticipation grew and all the family were equally keen to find out what it was. So keen in fact the whole family turned up early on Christmas morning all excited to see what this highly anticipated gift was.

Our new friend said this was the best gift she had ever given and wondered how she would top it in the years to come.
