Safflower Petals - 50 grams
Safflower petals are primarily used as a natural colorant in food and clothing. Added to soap they give both colour and a light texture. Unlike some flower colours, safflower is soap stable in both hot and cold process soap and remains shades of red, orange and yellow even in situations of high pH. With a vibrant colour and subtle wildflower scent, safflower is sometimes mistaken for saffron.
For greater contrast, add 1 teaspoon of titanium dioxide to 1kg of soap and mix in 3 teaspoons of safflower petals.
