Learn how to make your own cheese at home with Valerie Pearson, author of Home Cheese Making in Australia.
Find out about the basics of cheese and yoghurt making and how to make your own mozzarella cheese using common kitchen equipment. There will be tasters available of both dairy and non-dairy yoghurt and you will get to eat fresh mozzarella, moments after it has been made.
Valerie has over 35 years experience making cheese at home and is the author of the popular book “Home Cheese Making in Australia”, now in its third printing. Valerie is an experienced teacher and public speaker and will answer all of your questions on the day.
This workshop is designed to be informative and entertaining. Packed with practical knowhow, Valerie will help you learn the skills required to be more self-sufficient in a fun and interactive manner. The workshop will show you, step by step, how to get started and be successful and importantly, you get to see, smell and taste.
You will also get to ask questions in a stress free, friendly atmosphere as well as meet new people with similar interests. After the workshop, stay and enjoy a glass of wine and a Charcuterie board, including some locally made cheeses
